In the Crop Insurance Sales role, you will:

  • Be a top crop insurance adviser in your marketplace that provides recommendations for areas of improvement in coverage
  • Deliver unique insurance previews and proposals to growers that balance budgetary constraints and risk tolerance
  • Manage the acreage and production reporting process and facilitate claim submissions for your customers
  • Maintain subject matter mastery of your own products as well as competitive public and private insurance products in your market
  • Participate in company and industry events, trade shows and customer engagement activities
  • Provide feedback and insight to the Product Management team to constantly improve and enhance your offerings to the marketplace
  • Maintain reports on your sales efforts and activities

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience as a successful crop insurance sales agent
  • Knowledge of crop insurance programs and information, grain marketing, finance and macroeconomics
  • Possess insurance license and Risk Management Agency (RMA) certification as a crop insurance agent
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to understand and communicate risk management strategies to clients/prospects
  • Farming/agriculture knowledge required
  • Self-motivated and goal-driven
  • Strong local network

Compensation and Benefits
